Merchandise Prep:

Here are some guidelines to help as you prepare your items for the sale.

Clothing                                                                  
*  The better they look, the better they sell!  Please take time to wash and iron your clothes if necessary. Please check for stains, broken zippers, torn hemlines, etc.

*  We will be double checking at the store and will not receive any item that is not in excellent condition. 

*  Need to get out a stain - check out a great stain removal tips site by clicking HERE.

*  Please use children's hangers for sizes 6 and below.

*  Use larger hangers for sizes 7 and above.

Children's hangers can be purchased at discount stores such as Walmart or Target or you can try contacting a store that sells children’s clothing such as Old Navy, Carter's,  Osh Kosh, Target, Walmart, etc.(to name a few) to see if they can provide you with the hangers you will need.  Adult size hangers stretch and distort small children's clothing, so please use children's hangers for sizes 6 and below.  Items sell much better when they are on the appropriate hangers.

*  We are receiving only Spring/Summer Children's clothing, infant to size 14, for this sale.   Please save any jeans and dark or strictly winter long pants, long sleeved shirts and dresses, halloween costumes, fall themed clothes and other items not suitable for Spring/Summer wear for our Fall/Winter 2010 Sale coming in Aug/Sept 2010! 

*  Please group items together so that they will equal a value of at least $3.00.  Please pin items together on a hanger and price the group at $3 or above.  

*  Pants/Shorts - All pants must be pinned to a hanger with safety pins.  Please do not fold pants over hangers as they tend to end up on the floor. 

* Sets -  Safety pin all sets and accessories securely together on one hanger.  Pants should be pinned on the hanger under or behind the shirt.  Both pieces need to be viewable without unpinning them.

*  Shoes - Please only bring your like-new shoes in excellent condition! Shoes are difficult to tag. First, put your consignor number and price on masking tape on the bottom of the shoes just in case the tag gets missplaced. If possible, tie shoes securely together with string.  Safety pin the price tag to a shoe lace or through the shoe eyelet. If shoes cannot be securely tied together, or the price tag cannot be attached without damaging the shoes, place the shoes and price tag inside a ziplock bag being sure the price tag is clearly visible.  We suggest taping the string part of the price tag with clear packing tape on the bottom of the shoes before placing them in the ziplock or attaching the tag to the ziplock with a safety pin.

*  Bedding - It is best to package a bedding set together in its original clear plastic bag with zipper.  As an aternative, use the Lg or X-Lg clear ziplock or other brand storage bags.  Please attach or include a list of the items in the bag (for example, Matching Pottery Barn Crib Bumper, Bedskirt, Quilt and two crib sheets).  It is often helpful to print sales info for a new similar set off the internet and include that in the bag as well.

*  Blankets - Hang and pin blankets over hangers so that shoppers can see them. If they are small receiving blankets, group 2 or 3 together in a ziplock bag and seal with clear plastic tape. Safety pin tag to ziplock bag. 

*  Loose Items - Bottles (without nipples), bibs, rattles, socks, bows, etc should be grouped together appropriately in ziplock bags. Please do not bring "mixed" bags.  Bags should include only similar items, for example, all rattles, all bibs, all bows, etc.  Seal bag with clear packing tape and pin tag to bag.

*  Toys, Furniture & Equipment (bouncy seats, swings, high chairs, exersaucers, etc) - Must be clean and in working order (batteries included).  Small parts must be bagged, sealed with clear tape and attached to the main part very securely. If parts get separated it will not sell. Games should be taped closed. Puzzles, books, videos and small toys should be grouped accordingly with a $3 minimum price and put in ziplock bags. Secure with clear packing tape and pin tag to the ziplock bag. 
              
TOYS PACKAGED INAPPROPRIATELY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED


*  Stuffed Animals - We will only accept Beanie Baby, Build A Bear, Disney or other name brand stuffed animals in like new condition. 

                Large Little Tykes Toys and Furniture are in high demand!

*  Car Seats · Your car seat must have been manufactured within the past five years. It must not be subject to recall or have been in an accident. All seat covers and straps must be thoroughly cleaned.

          --**In order to ensure that car seats being sold at the sale meet these high standards and have not been recalled, you will be required to fill out our car seat information checklist and waiver when bringing your car seat to the sale.

*  Furniture Nook - The furniture nook is  very popular!  Please bring any child appropriate furniture including rockers, gliders, cribs, bookcases, toddler beds, etc.


In an effort to maintain excellent quality we will be very selective in the items we accept.
